10 year celebration
WHEN Keith Lemare set up the Kingfisher Project he was warned it would nose-dive – but 10 years on it is still going strong.
Mr Lemare, 64, co-founded the Kingfisher Project in 2005 in a partnership with a number of agencies, including Trent and Dove Housing, to improve key locations in Burton.
Ten years later, several projects have been completed and are currently being enjoyed by residents.
This includes the Kingfisher Trail between Eton and Shobnall Leisure Centre.
Mr Lemare promised his wife before she died three years ago that he would continue his work.
He deserves much praise for his hard work and dedication to putting others before himself and improving their lives.
